Three of the following pairs of the human skeletal parts are correctly matched with their respective skeletal category and one pair is mismatched. Identify the mismatching pair.
Clavicle and glenoid cavity - Pelvic girdle
The shoulder girdle or pectoral girdle is the set of bones which connects the arm to the appendicular skeleton on each side. In humans, it consists of the clavicle and scapula. The axial skeleton is the part of the skeleton that consists of the bones of the head and trunk of a vertebrate. The appendicular skeleton consists of the bones of the appendages (arms and legs) and the girdles (shoulder and pelvic) that connect them with the axial skeleton. The three auditory ossicles – the malleus, incus, and stapes – are tiny bones found in the middle ear.
