The correct option is C v and opposite to β
The particle of same mass and same magnitude of velocities on medians of an equilateral triangle, in total have zero momentum as they form a cyclic system. Ex. triangle. Hence the momentum after collision will also be zero.
As α becomes stationary, β retraces its path with velocity v, so to make momentum 0, γ has to move opposite to β with same speed.
