If the total value of the three prizes is ₹ 2000, then find the value of each prize (in order of 1st, 2nd and 3rd).

The correct option is C ₹ 1500, ₹ 300, ₹ 200

Let the value of first prize =x

Value of second prize=15x

Value of third prize=23×(Value of the second prize)=23×(15x)=215x

Total value of three prizes = 2000
x+15x+215x=2000
15x+3x+2x15=2000
20x15=2000
20x=2000×15
x=2000×1520
x=1500

Value of first prize = 1500
Value of second prize =15× 1500= 300
Value of third prize =23× 300= 200
