Three resistors and an ideal cell are connected as shown in given figure, when the switch is open the potential difference across $R_{2}$ and $R_{1}$ remains constant.As $R_{3}$ is shorted, potential difference across $R_{2}$ is increased. Hence current is increased. This increase is independent of value of $R_{1}$ .
