Let Ajay’s score be x and maximum marks be Y.

Given that, $\frac{70+120+x}{3}=\frac{60}{100}\times Y$

$\frac{190+x}{3}=\frac{3Y}{5}$

$\frac{70+120+x}{3}-40=\frac{40}{100}\times Y$

$\frac{190+x}{3}-40=\frac{2Y}{5}$

$\frac{3Y}{5}-40=\frac{2Y}{5}$

Y = 200 and X = 170; Option(b).
