Three torches A, B and C shown in Fig. are switched on one by one. The light from which of the torches will not form a shadow of the ball on the screen.

Solution

Shadow is formed when the light from a source is blocked by an object. Since light always travels in a straight path, the light from torch c will not reach the screen and hence no shadow is formed.
