Three torches A, B and C shown in Fig. are switched on one by one. The light from which of the following torch will not form a shadow of the ball on the screen?

Solution

Shadow is formed when the light from a source is blocked by an object. Since light always travels in a straight path, the light from torch C will not reach the displayed screen and hence no shadow will be formed.
