Through a cylindrical pipe of internal radius 7cm, water flows out at the rate of 5cm/sec. Calculate the volume of water (in litres) discharged through pipe in half an hour.

The correct option is B 1386 litres
We have,
r=7 cm

Water flows rate =5 cm/sec

We know that the volume of the cylinder
=πr2h

So, the volume of the water discharged through pipe in 30 min
=227×72×5×(30 min)

=22×7×5×(30×60 sec)

=22×7×5×(30×60 sec)

=1386000 cm3

=1386 litre 1000 cm3=1 litre

Hence, this is the answer.
