Question

Till what age is the hymen present?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
The hymen is thin piece of mucosal tissue that surrounds or partially covers the external vaginal opening. It forms part of the vulva, or external genitalia, and is similar in structure to the vagina.
The presence of hymen is not dependent or related to age. It may rupture during the first penetrative intercourse, or during physical exercise or stretches, or during accidents, slips or falls, or any other kind of strains.

Regards.
