Question

Time velocity graphs for 2 objects A and B are straight lines inclined 600 and 300 with the time axis. Then the accelerations of A and B are in the ratio?

Open in App
Solution

We know that the slope of V-T graph gives the acceleration.

Slope of V-T graph = tan0
So, the ratio of their acceleration will be,

tan30/tan60 -----------(1)

tan30 = 1/root 3 ---------(2)

tan 60 = root 3 -----------(3)

so substituting (2) and (3) in (1) we get :-

tan30/tan60= 1/root3/root 3 = 1/3
