Tina had 20m5cm long cloth. She cuts 4m50cm length of cloth from this for making a curtain. How much cloth is left with her?

Finding the length of cloth left:

Total length of cloth =20m5cm

=20×100+5(1m=100cm)=2000+5=2005cm

Length of cloth used to make the curtain =4m50cm

=4×100+50(1m=100cm)=400+50=450cm

Therefore, the length of cloth left with Tina will be =Totallengthofcloth-Lengthofclothusedincurtain

=2005-450=1555cm=15.55m1cm=1100m

Hence, the length of cloth left with Tina is 15.55m
