The correct option is B 20 ft
The floor of Building A can be divided into three rectangles as follows:


Area of a rectangle=Length×Width

So, for Building A,

Area of the green coloured rectangle=30 ft×8 ft=240 sq.ft.

Area of the blue coloured rectangle=60 ft×12 ft=720 sq.ft

Area of the red coloured rectangle=20 ft×8 ft=160 sq.ft


So, total area of Building A will be
=(240+720+160) sq.ft
=1120 sq.ft

The dimensions of Buiding B are as follows:


Now,
Area of Building A = Area of Building B.

So, 1120 sq.ft=56 ft×Width
Width=1120÷56=20 ft.

Hence, the width of Building B is 20 ft
