Question

to convert water into ice , is pressure and temperature both needed if no , then if we compress water (water moleculescome close to each other) and can convert into ice?

Solution

Yes, both temperature and pressure are important for conversion of state.

If we compress a liquid, i.e. increase pressure, it can be converted into solid.
However, this is not true in case of water. Water is more denser in its liquid form than solid form, ice.
