Since $20$ poles are used, out of which $4$ must be planted at the corner of each side.

Thus out of $16,4$ poles would be on each side thus making $5$ poles in a row or in one side of the square field. Now the poles are $5$ meters apart thus total distance being $=5\times 5=25$m.

Hence, if one side of the square is $25$ m, the area of the field $=25\times 25=625m^2$
