To stitch a shirt ,3m25cmcloth is needed . Out of 50mcloth , how many shirts can be stitched and how many cloth is left behind ?

Step 1 : Converting m into cm

1m=100cm50m=5000cm3m25cm=300+25=325cm

Step 2 : Calculating number of shirts that can be stitched :

Cloth required to stitch one shirt =325cm

Number of shirts can be stitched from 5000cmcloth =5000÷325

=15125325

Hence , 15 shirts can be stitched and 125cmi.e.1m25cmcloth will be left .
