Tobacco smoke contains harmful chemicals like ammonia, carbon monoxide, nicotine and sulphur dioxide. These chemicals can cause uncontrolled division of cells (cancer). Minute carbon particles in tobacco smoke cause normal tissue of the lung to transform into thickened black tissue which later causes cancer. Excessive consumption of tobacco can also cause cancer of lips or tongue, visual disorders and tremors.
