Solution

You can do this question if it is 20 thousand or 2 lacs. It may be in some book it is taken 20 thousand. It is not a problem. Here is answer by taking 2 lakhs.

First year increased = (10/100)*200000 = 20000
First year total population = 200000+20000=220000

Second year increased= (15/100)*220000= 33000
Total population after 2 years = 220000+33000= 253000
Answer is 253000- (two lakh fifty three thousand)
