Solution

The correct option is A Two ATP
Anaerobic respiration is a type of respiration that takes place in the absence of oxygen in the cytoplasm and involves only glycolysis.
Glycolysis is the breakdown of glucose which involves the formation of pyruvic acid.
During this 2 ATP molecules are consumed and there is a formation of 4 ATP molecules and one molecule of NADPH. This can only be converted into ATP during the Krebs cycle so it won't be considered in the energy profile of the glycolysis.
Overall there the net amount of ATP generated by glycolysis or anaerobic respiration is two.
So, the correct option is '2 ATP'
