Yeast is facultative anaerobe so in absence of oxygen( anaerobic respiration) we can get fermented product.
1 glucose= 6 CO2 + 38 ATP(aerobic condition)
1 glucose= 2CO2 + 2 ATP + 2 ethanol(anaerobic condition)
so in aerobic condition we are getting more energy so, decrease in sugar breakdown occurs and the evolution of CO2 increases.
Hence the correct answer is (D)
