The following are some of the environmental factors that affect the rate of transpiration:
Dry environment: When the surrounding air is dry, transpiration or diffusion of water out from the leaf goes on more rapidly.
Temperature: The rate of transpiration is more at higher temperatures. This is so because water evaporates more rapidly as the temperature rises.
