Question
Trees in a forest are shedding leaves. How does it effect the properties that prevent flood control and soil erosion of a forest?
Open in App
Solution
The less number of leaves on trees would not reduce the flow of rain. Hence it will not help in preventing the flood control in the area.
Since unlike roots, leaves of a tree do not hold on to soil, shedding of leaves does not have an effect on soil erosion.
