Trigometric identities are valid for all real values where as trigonometric equations are valid for only some values.
We have seen that the difference between trigonometric identities and trigonometric equations is that trigonometric identities hold good for all real values. Where as trigonometric equations hold good for some values.
For example -
Sin2x+Cos2x=1
is an identity because it holds good for all real values of x.
where as Sinx=12
is an equation as it is valid for only some values of x.
