Finding the probability that the drawn counter is green:
There are $24$ counters placed in a bag, so the total outcome is $24$ .
In the bag, there are $6$ green counters.
So the favorable outcomes are $6$ .
The formula for the probability is expressed as,
$P r o b a b i l i t y = \frac{N u m b e r o f f a v o r a b l e o u t c o m e s}{T o t a l n u m b e r o f o u t c o m e s}$
Substitute the number of favorable outcomes as $6$ and the total number of outcomes as $24$ .
$\Rightarrow P (g r e e n) = \frac{6}{24} ∴ P (g r e e n) = \frac{1}{4}$
Hence, the probability of a counter which is green from a bag of $24$ counters is $\frac{1}{4}$ .
