Cost price of 8 articles = 48 Rs.

$∴ c o s t p r i c e o f o n e a r t i c l e = \frac{48}{8} = 6 R s$

Selling price of 5 articles = 37.50 Rs

$∴ s e l l i n g p r i c e o f o n e a r t i c l e = \frac{37.50}{5} = 7.5 R s$

On one article, $P r o f i t = S P - C P = 7.5 - 6 = 1.5 R s$

To gain profit of 675 rs,

Number of articles = $\frac{T o t a l P r o f i t}{P r o f i t o n o n e a r t i c l e} = \frac{675}{1.5} = 450 R s$
