Two absolute scales $A$ and $B$ have triple points of water defined to be $200 A$ and $300 B$ . A temperature is measured on these scales as $T_{A}$ and $T_{B}$ What is the relation between $T_{A}$ and $T_{B}$ ? Given, that triple point of water as $273.16 K$ .

Triple point of water on absolute scale $A$ and $B$ are $200 A$ and $300 B$ respectively.

The triple point $A$ in Kelvin is equal to $273.16$ .

Hence $T_{1} = T_{k}$

$200 A = 273.16$

Similarly,

$300 B = 273.16$

By solving above equations we get,

$\frac{273.16}{200} \times T_{A} = \frac{273.16}{350} \times T_{B}$

Hence the ratio of the $T_{A} : T_{b} = 4 : 7$
