Given:
Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are $6 c m$ and $8 c m$ .
Since, opposite sides of the parallelogram are equal.
i.e., corresponding two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are also $6 c m$ and $8 c m$ .
Now, perimeter of parallelogram $= 6 c m + 8 c m + 6 c m + 8 c m = 28 c m$

Perimeter of parallelogram $= 2 \times$ Sum of one of the pair of adjacent sides
$= 2 \times (6 c m + 8 c m)$
$= 2 \times 14 c m$
