Critical velocity

$V_0=0.55m.y^{0.64}$

Since, bed material of both the channels are same, hence m = constant

$\frac{(V_0{)}_1}{(V_0{)}_2}={\left(\frac{y_1}{y_2}\right)}^{0.64}$

$={\left(\frac{1}{0.8}\right)}^{0.64}=1.15$
