Question

Two articles are made - one with cast iron and the other with steel. The one with cast iron breaks easily while the one with steel does not break easily. Explain the distinguishing feature.

The main difference between the two elements is that steel is produced from iron ore and scrap metals, and is called alloy of iron with controlled carbon where as around 4% of carbon in an iron makes it caste iron and less than 2% of carbon makes it steel.
Caste iron has more compressive strength and steel is more tensile. So, that is the reason steel does not break easily.
