The correct option is A Straight line passing through origin Let the initial velocity of the balls be u1 and u2 (upwards) respectively.
Also the acceleration of the balls a1=−ga2=−g
∴ Relative acceleration of ball 1 w.r.t 2 a12=a1−a2=0
Initial velocity of 1 w.r.t 2 u12=u1−u2 (upwards)
Using S12=u12t−a12t22
∴ Distance between them S12=(u1−u2)t
Thus S-t graph will be a straight line having a slope (u1−u2) passing through origin.
