Two blocks $A (20 k g)$ and $B (50 k g)$ lying on a frictionless are connected by a light string. The system is pulled horizontally with an acceleration of $2 m / s^{2}$ by a force $F$ on $B$ . What is the tension in the string ?

From above figure
T = 20a ...(1) .

F-T = 50a ...(2)

add both equation and put $a = 2 m / s^{2}$

F =70a

70(2) = 140N

T =20a

=20(2) = 40N
