Let To and T be the spring force and tension in the string.
From the FBD of the system, before the spring is cut.

For block B,
T=2mg(1)
For block A,
To=T+mg
To=3mg(2)
Now if string is cut, block B will be falling freely

Since To=3mg
MaA=2Mg
