Two blocks are resting on ground with masses 5kg and 7kg. A string connected them which goes over a massless pulley A . There is no friction between pulley an d string A. force F=124N is applied on pulley A.Find acceleration of centre of mass of the system of two masses (in m/s2)

Given,

mass m1=5kg,m2=7kg.f=124N

Since the net force in the system is:

Fnet=124(7+5)10=124120=4N

So the acceleration of the center of the mass is acm=412=0.33m/s2

Thus this is the acceleration of the center of the mass.
