The correct option is B 8 N
Net force on the system(m1+m2=3kg) is F=12N so the common acceleration will be a=F3kg=4m/s2
When we consider m2 we notice that only horizontal force on it is T so it should produce
an acceleration 4m/s2 in m2 so that it can move together with m1 so 4m/s2=Tm2
ot T=4m/s2×2kg=8N
