Question

Two blocks of masses m1=1Kg and m2=2Kg are connected by a string. An external force of 2N is exerted on a 2Kg block as shown in figure. Coefficient of friction between the blocks and the floor is 0.4 and 0.5 as shown in figure. Find the tension force between the two blocks.

fB=μB(mBg)=0.4×1×10=4N

fA=μA(mAg)=0.5×2×10=10N

Here, F<fA frictional force between A and ground.

Hence block A doesn't move. Then tension, T=0
