Two boats approach a light house in mid-sea from opposite directions. The angles of elevation of the light house from two boats are 30o and 45o respectively. If the distance between two boats is 100m, find the height of the light house.

According to Question and relating with the diagram
AB=h(Let)BDBC=CD=100

Now, in ABC
tan45o=hBCh=BC

and in ABD
tan30o=hBDBD=h3

and we know that,
CD=BDBC=h3h=h(31)=100h=100313+13+1=50(3+1)
