Solution

The tyre which has been used and old is more likely to skid.

A new tyre's surface is made in such a way that there is sufficient friction between the tyre and the road.
As the tyre is used, wear and tear happen on the tyre and the surface of tyre smoothens thereby reducing friction between tyre and road. So, it is more likely to skid.
