Solution

Frictional force:

  1. Friction is the force that prevents one solid object from sliding or rolling over another.
  2. Frictional forces, such as the traction required to walk without slipping, are beneficial, but they also present a significant amount of resistance to motion.
  3. A bicycle with worn-out tyres is more likely to skid.
  4. The boy with the worn tyres is more likely to slip because the tyres have less friction, which is insufficient to travel on the oily road.
