To over take the car B, the back most point of car A must travel till the front most point of car B. i.e. $10m=0.01km$.
$V_{rel}=54-36=18km/hr$

Time taken to travel 0.01km,
$t=\frac{0.01}{18}hr$

Now, total distance traveled by A is
$(\frac{0.01}{18}\times 54\times 1000)=30m$
