Solution

The correct option is A 6.75
VA=VB=45km/hr
VC=36km/hr
Let x is the distance between A and B.
Velocity of approach between A and B.
VAC=VA+VB=(45+36)km/hr=81km/hr
VBC=VB+VC=(45+36)km/hr=81km/hr

Velocity of approach =DistancebetweenAandBTimedifferenceinmeetingAandB
t=5min=560
81=x×605

x=5×8160
=6.75km
Hence, the answer is 6.75km.
