Solution

The correct option is A 16
Given that,
Speed of car A and B, v=7.2 km/h=2 m/s
Frequency observed by person in Car A of sound directly received, f1=676 Hz
Now, frequency of sound received by person in Car B,
f=(v+vovvs)×f1=(340+23402)×676
=684 Hz
Further,
Frequency of sound observed by person in Car A of sound received after reflection from Car B,
f2=(v+vovvs)×f=(340+23402)×684=692 Hz
Therefore, beat frequency, fB=f2f1
fB=692676
fB=16 Hz

Why this question ?Concept - When separation between the source and observer decreases, then the apparent frequencyincreases and vice-versa.
