Two cars A and B having average speeds of 30 and 40 km/hr, respectively, are 280 km apart. They start moving towards each other at 3.00 pm, at what time, will they meet?

The correct option is C 7 p.m
Suppose they meet when A travelled x km.
So, B would have travelled 280x km
We know that Time=DistanceSpeed
When the cars meet, they would have travelled at the same time.
So, x30=280x40
On cross multiplying and simplifying, we get x=120
So, Time taken by A to meet =12030=4 hours
As they left at 3 pm, they meet each other after 4 hours at 7 pm.
