Two cars are moving in the same direction at the same speed of 30Km/Hr. They are separated by 5Km. What is the speed of a car moving in the opposite direction if it meets the two cars at an interval of 4 minutes.

Distance, d=5Km

Step 2: Calculate the speed of the third car.

Let's assume the speed of the third car is u.

Relative velocity,

u-v=dt

Here,

u is the speed of the third car.

v is the speed of the first car.

d is the distance between them.

t is time.

Relative Velocity.

u--30KmHr=5Km4Hr×60u+30=75u=45KmHr

Hence, the speed of the third car is 45kmhr.
