Two cars having masses in the ratio 4:5, accelerate in the ratio 2:3. Find the ratio of forces exerted by each of them.

Let the masses be $m_1$ and $m_2$, accelerations be $a_1$ and $a_2$ & forces be $f_1$ and $f_2$.

We know that,

$Force=Mass\times Acceleration$

So,

$\frac{f_1}{f_2}=\frac{m_1}{m_2}\times \frac{a_1}{a2}$

= 4/5 * 2/3

= (4 * 2) / (5 * 3)

= 8 / 15

= 8 : 15 Ans.

Ans.) The ratio of forces exerted by each of them is 8 : 15.
