Question

Two circular coils 'X' and 'Y' are placed closed to each other. If the current in the coil 'X' is changed, will some current be induced in the coil 'Y'? Give reason.

Solution

It is because when the current in your coil X is successfully changed, then the magnetic field linked with it also changes.
Hence, the overall magnetic field around the coil Y also alters.
This kind of change in the magnetic field the lines around coil Y actually induces the electric current in this field.
