Equation of wave S1 and S2 are
S1=Asin(kxωt+π)
S2=Asin(kxωt)
we know cf=λ=2m
interference at point A is
S1S2=Asin(kxωt+π)Asin(kxωt)
S1S2=2Asin(k(x1+x2)2ωt+π2)sin(k(x1x2)2+pi2)
k=2πλ=π
hence at point A x1=0x2=8m
S1S2=2Asin(4πωt+π2)sin(4π+π2)=2Acosωt

At point A we have a maxima at t=0 and after every 2m we will get a maxima along AB hence there must 6 maximas.
