The correct option is D 1 cm
At the position of the maxima, the path difference is

Δx=nλ

S2PS1P=nλ

d2+D2D=nλ

d2+D2=(D+nλ)2

d2+D2=D2+n2λ2+2nλD

2nλD=d2 [λ2 being very small is neglected]

D=d22nλ=1082×5000×1010=102n

D=1 cmn

D=1 cm, 0.5 cm, 0.25 cm,0.125 cm ...

So, the position of farthest maxima from S1 will be at D=1 cm.
