where, H is appearance of Head and T is appearance of Tail on the coin.

$n\left(S\right)=4$

Let $E$ be an event when head appears on one coin and tail on another coin.

$E:\left\{HT,TH\right\}$

$n\left(E\right)=2$

Probability of even $E$ is $P\left(E\right)=\frac{n\left(E\right)}{n\left(S\right)}$

$P\left(E\right)=\frac{2}{4}$

$P\left(E\right)=\frac{1}{2}$
