Question 1) two complementary angles differ by 20. Find the angles.

Question 2) 150 has been divided into 2 parts such that twice the first part is equal to the second part. Find the parts.

(1)
Sum of two complementary angles= 90°
let one of the complementary angles be x and second angle be x-20(since difference is 20)
then a/q x+ x-20=90
=2x = 90+20
= x= 110/2
∴x= 55
so measure of one angle is 55°
and the second angle is 55-20= 35°
and 55+35= 90°


(2)

let the 1st part be x

given second part is twice the first part i.e = 2x

as sum of first and second part is 150
x+2x=150
3x=150
x=150/3
x=50
so first part is 50
second part=2x=2*50=100

so first part is 50 and second part os 100
