Solution

The correct options are
A qA/qB=1/2
D potential difference between A and B after earthing becomes V/2
Before grounding,
2V=kqA/R+kqB/2R, where k=1/4πϵo
and, 3V/2=kqA/2R+kqB/2R
qA/qB=1/2
and V=kqA/R (1)

After grounding of B, let charges on A and B be qA and qB respectively.
As A is isolated, qA=qA
so option A is correct.

Now, new potential on spheres are:
VA=kqA/R+kqB/2R=kqA/R+kqB/2R
and, VB=kqA/2R+kqB/2R=kqA/2R+kqB/2R=0
qB=qA=qA
qA/qB=1
so option B is incorrect.

So, VA=kqA/RkqA/2R=kqA/2R=V/2 using (1)
so option C is incorrect
VAVB=V/2
so option D is correct.
