Solution

The correct option is C K1d1 + K2d2d1 + d2
Let t be the width and L be the length of each conductor.

Effective thermal resistance (parallel combination) is,
1Req.=1R1+1R2

Req. = R1R2R1+R2.......(i)

where R=LKA, K= thermal conductivity

substituting in Eq. (i),

LKeq. (A1+A2)=LK1A1LK2A2LK1A1+LK2A2

LKeq(A1+A2)=(L2K1A1×K2A2)×((K1A1)(K2A2)L(K1A1+K2A2))

1Keq (A1 + A2)=1K2A2 + K1A1

Keq=K1A1 + K2A2A1 + A2

Keq=K1(d1t) + K2(d2t)(d1t) + (d2t)

Keq=K1d1 + K2d2d1+d2
